26/03/09: Home Alone...

I am heading away this weekend to Southampton for the National Student Television Association & Awards conference.  I'll give you a moment to recover from the fact I have a hobby ouitside of gaming.  While I am looking forward to my weekend away, I am apprehensive about leaving my Xbox 360, becacuse you see, the last time my Xbox was without me for a weekend, it commited suicide.

It happened whilst I was away for Christmas, having left on Christmas Eve I returned the day after Boxing Day to find my much loved console deceased.  The coroner put the cause of death down to a precurser to the Red Rings Of Death.  Being (conveniently) out of warrenty and beyond repair I laid my poor console to rest, and swiftly replaced it with a younger, sexier model.  You know, like you would if your wife died.

While my new Xbox is only 3 months old, I can't help but feel like being away from it again will only end badly.

Guess I should probably take it with me then.
